Members
- All members belong to an Association set up under the Society
Act of Alberta and agree to follow the bylaws
of the Association.
- As members of the Association you gain the support
and knowledge from all members, thus the “networking”
aspect.
- Our members have gained respect
from their close working relationship with various agencies
within the CHR and surrounding health regions.
- Our Association was involved with a select
group of individuals in setting up a “Quick”
client assessment tool similar to the one used
by the Capital health region.
- Members have worked directly with private clients in assessing
the clients care needs.
- Our members follow not only the CHR standards
but other agency standards as well. Our various members throughout
the years have operated successful care homes
and have added some of their own standards
which have not only benefited the clients but
families, friends and guardians as well.
- We have set up our own Generic
documentation including: Admission Agreements, Policy &
Procedures manual and Staff handbook which are made available
to new members.
- As members you will be further educated
as operators on social, educational.economic, advocacy and other
subjects pertaining to Private personal care homes.
- “Networking” within the Association
allows all members the Information Highway
for accessing any or all aspects of Planning, Opening, &
Operating an excellent Private Care Home.
- Future Web content for individual
Private Care homes on line for Web clients/families to use.
- Future Health & Dental benefits with
Association expansion for its members, families and staff.
- Our Association is recognized by the Bow Valley College
as a presenter for a certified course in “Managing
an Adult Personal Care Home”
