A group of
existing operators formed the New Age Personal Care Association under
the Society Act of Alberta in
2002. As existing operators we came together to form our Corporate
Association to assist seniors, disabled and challenged clients.
We form a group of unique individuals with a wealth of knowledge
in various levels of care and service that we have provided over
the years.
Since we do form such a unique group this provides us the ability
to consult within our Association with others for help in caring
for our specialized clients.
We not only provide long-term and short-term personal care but
many operators also provide respite care on a daily, weekly or longer
period.
WE consist of:
RN”S
Social Worker
Personal Care Assistants
Life Skill teachers
Palliative care providers within lodges
Care of PDD (Persons with Developmental Disabilities)
Care of Mental health clients
Care of Acquired Brain Injury clients
Care of Dementia
Various levels of personal care for seniors
Care of the physically disabled on all levels
“Clients are the most important
people in our care home.
They are not dependent on us.
We are dependent on them.
They are not an interruption in our care
home but the purpose of our care home.
They are not outsiders in our care home but
part of our care home. We are not
doing them a favor by caring for them.”
